How the tip calculator works
The calculator takes your bill amount, multiplies it by the tip percentage, and adds the two together to get the total. It then divides by the number of people so you know exactly what each person owes.
Tip = Bill × (Tip % ÷ 100)
Total = Bill + Tip
Per person = Total ÷ Number of people
Common tip percentages
Use these as a starting point and adjust based on quality of service:
